New Ryan Homes 150 Lot Housing Development in Beaver, PA

Application Overview:

We worked with Sheffler & Company to design and build a custom sanitary pump station for a new Ryan Homes 150 lot housing development in Beaver, PA. Since this was for a residential community, we had to be mindful of odor control and follow sanitary sewer requirements from Beaver County to connect to their local sewer system.

Pump Station Details:

Our team prefabricated a 8 ft. X 10 ft. X 8 ft. insulated fiberglass enclosure that housed the main controls and piping to the 6ft. diameter by 12 ft. deep HDPE pump station. A 4 ft. diameter by 5 ft. deep fiberglass trash trap manhole gravity fed to the main pump station wet well. Additionally, a horizontal underground chemical tank fed into the pump station to reduce H2S corrosion and to mitigate sanitary sewer odor. All of it was pumped with Barnes submersible grinder pumps rated for 101 GPM @ 125 TDH. Lastly, in the case of a power outage it has a Kohler natural gas generator for emergency power backup.
