Likewise, wastewater detention and retention systems allow for larger amounts of wastewater to be held until they can be dispersed properly in a controlled fashion.
The difference between detention and retention is the amount of time the water is housed. A detention system has an orifice level at the bottom of the basin while a retention system has the orifice at a higher level. These both can be equipped with any necessary accessories and features as needed.
