Dayton Airport Tank InstallSite:

City of Dayton Airport, OH

Northwest Pump Station #PS7

Application Overview:

The City of Dayton, Dept. of Aviation worked with Passero Associates and Norton Engineering to develop an approximate 151 acre site northwest of the airport suitable for light industrial and warehouse development. Water and sewer infrastructure was required to service this new development area along Dog Leg Road.

Pump Station Details:

The engineering team worked with the Dayton Airport to specify a pump station design that eliminated confined space entry for the operations team as this was a concern with other existing pump stations at the Airport. An Excel Fluid Group factory built pump station with a structural HDPE wet well, aluminum NoVault enclosure and Barnes Blade series 5 HP grinder pumps was deemed most suitable for this application. The Excel NoVault satisfied the client’s concern about confined space hazards as all service can be performed at grade by opening the enclosure gull-wing doors.
