Application Overview:

Cleveland Cliffs HBI Plant in Toledo, Ohio required new three sanitary lift stations for industrial and domestic wastewater applications.

Pump Stations Details:

Excel Fluid Group worked with the engineering team and Cleveland Cliffs to design and supply three sanitary lift stations with the following criteria:

• Lift Station #1:
  • Design Point 65 GPM @ 55 TDH
  • 48 in. diameter by 15 ft. deep Fiberglass basin
  • 3 HP Barnes submersible grinder pumps
• Lift Station #2:
  
  • Design Point 15 GPM @ 55 TDH
  • 36 in. diameter by 8 ft. deep Fiberglass basin
  • 2 HP Barnes submersible grinder pumps

• Lift Station #3:
  
  • Design Point 15 GPM @ 35 TDH
  • 36 in. diameter by 8 ft. deep Fiberglass basin
  • 2 HP Barnes submersible grinder pumps

Installation:

The pump stations were preassembled and tested at EFG's facility and shipped to the jobsite for the installation to be completed by E.S. Wagner Company:
