Linden Avenue Wet Weather Project

Application Overview:

We recently teamed up with American Pump Repair & Service and Thieneman Construction to design and build a custom triplex pump station on Linden Avenue in Logansport, Indiana. The project was originally specified for a large-cast-in-place concrete pump station, but by reworking the design into two separate 10-foot diameter HDPE wet wells, we were able to deliver a more efficient and cost-effective solution. This redesign reduced installation time and saved the contractor money—while also offering long-term maintenance benefits and the 100-year design life that comes standard with HDPE wet wells.

Pump Station Details:

We prefabricated two 10 ft. diameter by 45 ft. deep HDPE wet wells with separate 10 ft. diameter by 8 ft. deep valve vaults. These HDPE reinforced bases and anti-float flange were designed to assume water table at grade with a 1.25 safety factor. Grundfos pumps were field installed and are rated at 175 HP @ 7,350 GPM.
