Kwest Group was tasked with delivering a sanitary lift station for an AEP substation project with specific standards and regulatory requirements. The original design required further coordination and adjustments to align with site needs.
Solution:
Excel analyzed the initial set of plans and provided recommendations to improve the system's effectiveness. The team worked with the project partners to move the project through approval, ultimately supplying a fiberglass wet well to support the sanitary station.

The Challenge:
Kwest Group was tasked with delivering a sanitary lift station for an AEP substation project that had to comply with AEP's standards and applicable state and local requirements. With defined installation expectations, the project required close coordination to ensure all components aligned with the provided specifications and supported a reliable sanitary system. The initial design plans required additional coordination to fully address site requirements and system needs.
The Solution:
Building on previous work together, Kwest reached out to Excel for pump station-specific expertise and to assist with bringing the design into alignment. The team conducted a thorough review of the initial plans and developed recommendations to help improve the design for system needs and regulations.
Working alongside Kwest and Wightman, Excel helped redefine the design and guide it through the approval process. Once finalized, a 72” diameter, 162” deep fiberglass wet well was supplied to support the sanitary lift station, providing a reliable foundation for long-term operation.
